I’ve been involved with the British prison system for most of my life. First as a visitor to my dad from the age of 12 then as an inmate myself. After leaving rehab I started helping out in prison drug rehab meetings. Today, many years later I now facilitate personal and professional development through creative writing in prisons throughout England and Wales.

I am currently a part time writer in residence in Ashfield YOI and HMP Parc Prison in Bridgend Wales. My prison projects come under the heading of Write to Freedom and cover a wide range of community based workshops in and out of prison looking at personal and professional development through the creative writing process. For more information please contact me.

The fathers were recorded reading the stories out loud. The stories were then given Radio 4 quality edits with music and sound effects and presented to the fathers and their children on CD. Incredible project. Funded by Academi.
